Following Act I & Act II there will be a talk-back session.

The audience is free to ask questions, make gentle comments, discuss the pieces presented.

See all - Playwright/Directors/Cast & Crew BIOS HERE

In 2007, our first event, we presented seven pieces in various stages of production.  They were all written by women.

Some were short plays; complete. This year, we have nine plays, two venues, two nights.

Some are pieces that will grow into a one-act, or a full length

play.  Others are scenes or fragments from full length plays.  All rough.  All new.  All not yet produced.

We have a cast of generous actors, willing to get their teeth into something edgy, willing to push artistic boundaries.

We challenged the playwright to stage their own reading when possible.  The only thing we ask, is that the scripts remain in

hands.  Without the script, expectations become too high for this kind of event and people forget it is a reading with

minimal rehearsal.

Several playwrights will be in attendance to participate in the talk-back.

This is a night where the value of an audience is apparent in their adding, and perhaps even changing a work in progress.
